While scrolling through my Instagram feed, I stumbled upon some stunning posts about cabin stays in the breathtaking Northwoods and North shore. Instantly, I was enamored by the idea of cozying up in a cabin, surrounded by nature while still enjoying modern amenities. It is no secret that I am drawn to the city but I have always harbored a deep desire to own a home secluded in the wild woods of Northern Montana or Minnesota. The thought of living in a cabin with modern comforts while still being able to escape into nature whenever I want, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, is incredibly appealing to me. I’m constantly working to make my dream a reality, but for now, I can’t help but dream of taking a little vacation with you to one of these secluded getaways in Northern Minnesota to bask in the beauty of this magical place.
Imagine waking up to the soft glow of a sunrise where your chest is gently traced my fingertips. As we step outside, hand in hand, the rocky beaches invite us to explore every nook and cranny of this breathtaking location. The winding roads beckon us to take a scenic drive, with your hand on my thigh as your eyes are torn between the stunning views of the vast lake, cliffs, & colorful forests, & the stunning eye candy sitting next to you. Every moment spent here is unforgettable, even if it’s just cozying up together in front of the fireplace with a Hot Toddy and a good book before we cook dinner. And as the stars twinkle in the crystal-clear night sky, we’ll lounge in the hot tub with a glass of wine, watching the snow fall softly on the ground.

A shipping container turned into a luxury cabin. Ham Haus is by far my favorite on this list. How could I not be in love with a place that references the “Talking Heads”? With views of Lake Superior from the living room, kitchen, and porch there’s a strong possibility we could see deer, eagles, and bear cubs. And we can bring my dog, Archer! Which honestly he deserves a little rest and relaxation just like you.
Nestled away in the heart of Minnesota’s North Shore, Grey Duck Cabin offers an unparalleled retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by forty acres of pristine wilderness and enveloped on all sides by state park and forest, this secluded hideaway provides the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and escape the stresses of modern living. And if you’re a fellow golfer, we’re not too far from a golf course.
In the heart of the North Shore Wild Pines gives the vibe of being off the grid while still being centrally located to most of the “must see” spots. A 1974-renovated, Minnesota favorite, A-frame house sitting on 40 acres, Wild Pines is only 5 minutes from Split Rock Lighthouse and Black Beach as well as 10 minutes from Gooseberry Falls, 15 minutes from Tettegouche State Park, and 25 minutes north of Two Harbours.

Although this cabin isn’t located on the North Shore it still packs quite the nature punch! It’s nestled on forty acres of land near Itasca State Park in northern Minnesota. We could spend our days hiking and our nights snuggled up together. If you’re in the mood to gamble, there’s also a casino not too far away.
